Worried about your recovery?

We can’t give medical advice. Contact your surgical team, or call your local emergency number, if you have calf pain or swelling in your leg, chest pain or breathlessness, a fever, or a wound that is red, hot, leaking or opening.

Common questions

How do I back up my diary?

Your diary is stored only on your phone, so it’s worth saving a backup every week or so.

  1. Open the Rounds tab and tap Backup, export and restore.
  2. Tap Save a backup file.
  3. Choose somewhere safe, such as iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Files, or an email to yourself.
I’ve got a new phone. How do I move my diary?
  1. On your old phone, save a backup as above.
  2. Install Round Two on your new phone.
  3. On the welcome screen, tap through to the end and choose Restore from a backup, then pick your backup file.

The backup file works on both iPhone and Android.

Can I print my diary or show it to my physio?

Yes. In Backup, export and restore, tap Export as PDF. You’ll get a readable copy with your milestones, week-by-week summaries and daily entries, which you can print, email or show on screen.

My reminders aren’t arriving.

Check that notifications are allowed for Round Two in your phone’s settings, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn’t hiding them. Then open Reminders in the app and check the reminder is switched on with the times you want.

I’ve had a hip and a knee. Can Round Two handle both?

Yes. Each operation is its own “round”, whether it’s a knee or a hip, left, right or both at once. Round Two compares a knee with your previous knee, and a hip with your previous hip. If there isn’t one, it compares with whichever operation came before.

My first operation was before I had the app.

Add it in the Rounds tab with a rough date, then tap Add a memory to note what you remember, such as when you got home, climbed the stairs or stopped the stronger painkillers. Those memories then show up in your comparisons.

How do I delete my diary?

In the Rounds tab, tap Delete my diary. Deleting the app also removes everything from your phone. If you’ve saved backup files, delete those from wherever you saved them.
